Blue Sky MD has cared for Henderson County from the heart of downtown Hendersonville on North King Street since 2008.
Our patients come from Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Mills River, Brevard, and Fletcher for a physician-led, labs-first approach delivered by an experienced local team that knows them by name.
We’re a medical practice first and foremost, meaning we’re in-network with most major primary-care insurance and LegitScript-certified.
Stubborn weight, fatigue, brain fog, and low drive are rarely the real problem. They’re usually downstream of something measurable, like metabolism, hormones, thyroid, insulin, sleep, and stress.
Most care treats the symptom and never asks why. Hendersonville patients often tell us the difference is the depth of our lab analysis and how we optimize to reduce symptoms first.
“Normal” lab ranges are built to catch disease, not to tell you where you feel your best. Normal isn’t optimal. We don’t guess — we measure.
Your first visit starts with real data, not a questionnaire. We run an advanced hormone and metabolic lab panel and resting metabolic rate testing to measure exactly how your body is working, including your hormones, thyroid, metabolism, and the markers most programs never check.
That’s how we find the root cause of your symptoms instead of chasing them.
You first visit will be in person at our clinic in downtown Hendersonville, with a Blue Sky MD provider. We’ll discuss the data we get from our tests on your hormones, metabolism, thyroid, and insulin together and explain what we see in plain language.
Our Hendersonville patients describe providers who are considerate and thorough, who take the time to listen and who “explain everything.” It’s the relief of finally being told why, and that it’s treatable. From there, we stay with you along the whole journey: re-testing, reviewing, and adjusting over time.
Our physician-led medical weight loss program combines comprehensive testing, nutrition and one-on-one coaching. When it’s right for you we can also prescribe GLP-1 medication like semaglutide or tirzepatide (or name-brand GLP-1 like Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®, and Mounjaro®) as another tool inside the plan.
In a 2025 study of 559 Blue Sky MD patients, the combined program averaged ~13% body-weight loss in 12 weeks – more than medication alone.
Our Hendersonville patients share results like “I have lost 100 pounds since I started” and “50-plus pounds in the last 9 months – I’m very happy.” (Individual results vary.) And the accountability is part of it: “everyone pushes you to do better… they keep a check on your progress.”
Fatigue, weight gain, low libido, brain fog, poor sleep, mood changes – these can be signs of a hormone imbalance, and they’re treatable. We test comprehensively, then tailor hormone therapy (including bioidentical hormones and TRT for men) to your biology, monitored over time. One Hendersonville patient put it simply about our provider Suzanne: “fabulous! I haven’t felt this good in years or slept this well.”
