John is an Asheville native. He began his career studying criminology, however during his education at Appalachian State University he learned he was passionate about sciences, wellness, and the functionality of the human body. After obtaining a degree in exercise science he pursued a position as a medical assistant in electrophysiology at Asheville Cardiology. After 2 years of experience, he applied to become a Physician Assistant and obtained his master’s degree from Shenandoah University. After graduation he worked 5 years in geriatric and primary care medicine. He is happy to be apart of the Blue Sky MD team.
