Misty Munger, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, brings nearly 20 years of nursing experience to Blue Sky MD, including 10 years in critical care before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her ICU background provides a strong clinical foundation and a deep appreciation for the importance of proactive, preventive healthcare.
Over the past nine years as an NP, Misty has practiced in Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Pulmonology, and Sleep Medicine. Her diverse experience enables her to take a comprehensive, patient-centered approach that focuses not only on treating illness but also on optimizing overall health, energy, and quality of life.
Misty is passionate about partnering with her patients to help them feel their absolute best by prioritizing long-term wellness and individualized care. In addition to clinical practice, she serves as a PRN nursing instructor at a university in Charlotte and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at East Carolina University.
Outside of work, Misty enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is actively involved in her church community and also enjoys boating, paddleboarding, reading, and learning new things.
