This critical first step is a comprehensive metabolic assessment that goes beyond the scale.
The initial Blue Sky MD visit will include fasting labs and a breathing test to determine how many calories you burn on a daily basis. You will need to fast after midnight and not consume any caffeine prior to this visit.
Your consultation will allow our Blue Sky MD providers to discuss your medical needs and match you with the best program. One of our Providers will review your lab results and discuss if you qualify to file insurance OR we will discuss affordable self pay options for our program.
Once we have a good understanding of your biomarkers and health history, we will pair you with your own personal wellness coach. Your coach will work with you to create a customized weight loss plan that fits your lifestyle and weight loss goals. Your provider may prescribe weight loss medications if you qualify.
WEEK 1 – 8
You’ll begin meeting with your wellness coach weekly and providers for regular check-ins. You will feel motivated and begin seeing noticeable progress!
Blue Sky MD will provide weekly educational components to help build your knowledge to ensure lifetime success. Each week, you will receive a Body Composition Analysis, therapeutic injections, and behavior modification tools.
WEEK 9-20
By now you will be noticing significant weight loss and an increase in energy levels. During phase two, you will have the skills and tools you need to continue seeing progress. You will meet with your wellness coach bimonthly for check-ins and to fine-tune nutrition and activity programs.
WEEK 20 & Up
As you reach your weight loss goals, you will meet with your wellness coach for monthly visits to ensure your healthy habits are solidified and to ensure continued success or to accommodate any new changes to life circumstances.
Once you have reached your weight loss goal and feel confident in your ability to stay on track with your nutrition and exercise plan, you will be eligible to continue your journey with our Blue Sky for Life program which offers visits every 4-8 weeks to maintain your ideal body weight.
Blue Sky MD weight loss clinic patients typically lose about 10% of their body weight during the first 12 weeks of the program, but results may vary.

We accept most major types of primary care insurance including Medicaid, Blue Cross, and Medicare.
Because our medical weight loss program is customized for each patient, the length of the Blue Sky MD clinical weight loss program is different for each individual and depends on goal and patient commitment levels. We recommend patients continue the program until they have reached their goal weight—and beyond, if additional support is desired.

The Blue Sky MD program includes weekly in-person meetings with a Wellness Coach, checkups with a medical provider, full access to our mobile app, and prescription weight loss medication prescribed by our doctors (if deemed appropriate).
The Blue Sky MD app also provides a direct line of communication between patients and wellness coaches for daily support between visits. The app also includes food journaling, recipes, activity tracking, and more.
